Time to act

T

I attended the PACA training today at the Pakatan Rakyat office at Tmn Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI) and I got to admit it was really insightful to actually be part of this. The training actually consisted of 2 parts – polling agent and counting agent  (hence PACA!). What surprised me also was the fact that there were quite a number of young people who were also in the training session. That kinda inspired me as it was really nice to see young adults like me (my peers) also making a sacrifice to not only ensure proper free elections during polling day but also to sacrifice their time to attend these training sessions.

I guess for me personally, I felt compelled to do something – after being ignorant for so long about the situation in my country. I have expressed my thoughts on this (you can search for “country matters” in the categories section) and finally I have to say I feel proud that I am finally taking some action be it just volunteering my time to ensure we have a clean and fair election. Perhaps this is my way of “making up” for those times I was ignorant and oblivious in the past.

Most likely my posting will be in Serdang or Balakong. It will really be interesting to see the voter demographics and attitude towards the election.

It’s time for a change lah
