“This pregnancy is definitely going harder than before man” wifey lamented to me as we were walking to buy lunch. I nodded, agreeing with her that indeed this time around, it was indeed harder on her. In fact I have been hearing this for the last week or so – the nausea, the fatigue, the avoidance of certain kind of smells, the cravings for zhi-char type of food, all bundled up and came as a “early welcome present” to the wifey. In fact this pregnancy was so different from the last ; we never saw wifey exhibiting such systems so early in her pregnancy.
I just hope she will be able to endure the nausea and heavy morning sickeness abit longer. So far thankfully there has been no vomiting (although at times wifey does tell me she wants to puke!). Nausea and these sensations are good indications, but I know it sometimes does take a toll on her.
But so far things are going well. Wifey took two blood tests and the results are very encouraging ; in fact she’s doing so well her readings for Beta HCG are off the normal bands so that’s a good thing. We are indeed thankful this pregnancy has been so far so good, to the point wifey is now peeing on the stick “just for fun”. I am truly happy for her and for the family.
Next Friday will be our first visit to see the Gynae at Mount E. Too bad we couldn’t get Mount A but I hope the Gynae will be able to deliver in Mount A if possible. The baby would measure around 6-7 weeks by the time we make our first visit. Looking forward to it!
