I just love the fact that I can worship freely to my God…in my car. Wind up the windows, hook up my iPod to the car’s stereo system, and viola, I have my very own worship center. And it’s just so awesome to start and end your day with worship. There have been days where I’ve been so tired after finishing work that the only thing I look forward next is to just run into the comforts of my car and just begin my “daily worship” session. I find it so refreshing and just amazing. It’s like for that brief 10-15 minutes drive home, you’re not thinking about your work, you’re not thinking about the people around you, your focus and heart is just purely on the Lord, just sending up praises after praises to Him. I just love it and yeah it’s something I really look forward to. Oh and listening to live worship, man it’s as good as just being there. I would sometimes find myself just clapping and lifting my hands while I’m waiting at a red light!
I gotta say I really feel blessed to be able to do this. I feel lucky and special to be able to worship and adore a God like mine. And the songs, be it whether it’s from Chris Tomlin, or Hillsong, or Don Moen, it’s all the same and they all lead me to one simple purpose: to be intimate and close to my God…and this while I’m in my car, whether I’m driving home or going to work.
It’s such a real blessing indeed.
As I always tell myself, before I start my “session”,
Keep your eyes on the road,
Keep your mind on the traffic,
But keep your heart with God.
P/S – Who cares if the person in the other car thinks I am making a full out of myself? God seems to think otherwise… 😉
