More Accessories Splurge

M

few posts ago I mentioned about getting tired of cheap knock-offs. Yes while they are cheap and can “get the job done” there’s just the lack of that fine qualify missing which actually makes all the difference. Case in point when I purchased a knockoff magnetic phone stand off some 3rd party site. I had gotten wifey an original MOFT and I got myself a replica and I could tell the “premiumness” of the two items were just miles apart. Don’t get me wrong, both did the job, but wifey’s one just felt a notch better – it felt nicer on the hands, the finishing was just overall better.

And so, I decided to heck it and splurge and just get more accessories for my iPad Pro and for the whole apple ecosystem. For starters, I indulged myself with the Magic Keyboard and got myself the MOFT dynamic folio – two excellent accessories for the IPad Pro.

Then, I went a step further and got myself an Apple Pencil Pro. Now mind you, similiar to the Magic Keyboard, I got this second hand. It didn’t make sense for me to justify getting a brand new pencil pro for $199 when I could get one for just 50% of the price (which I ended up doing). Soon after, I found myself wanting to enhance my listening experience, and after researching on YouTube on the AirPods Max headsets, I decided to take a plunge and end up getting an almost new AirPod Max 2 for 70% of the retail price – now I felt this was my ultimate splurge as I had already possessed a fully functional AirPods 4 (with ANC) as my daily driver. But I just decided to give the max a go as well and ended up getting it. I do feel its an excellent deal (similiar to the pencil) given its a new product and has been severely underutilised.

I hope this would be the end of my apple purchases. Perhaps I just might get the Magic Mouse to pair with my iPad Pro but other than that, I think this is all I needed for my tech 2026 upgrades.
