New York City. Love it or hate, it is one city that has divided opinions. Having visited New York some time back, I was looking forward to visiting NYC again, considering this time we would be staying in downtown Manhattan. We had a nice time in New York visiting The Central Park zoo and walking around the streets although it was quite a challenge lugging the stroller along the subway! It was also great that we could catch up with my recently married cousin over a couple of meals. It was amazing having that 1 on 1 time with him over dinner and lunch. I think even more memorable was seeing my little one bond with my cousin!
We also had the chance to visit Macy’s a number of times during this trip and we managed to get a couple of shirts for both our dads. By Saturday though, we were ready to head home as we had another major exciting activity ahead of us as soon as we touched down in the little red dot.
We arrived in Singapore on a humid Monday morning and straight-headed back home to have some rest and unpack our suitcases. That afternoon we were looking forward to signing our home transfer documents. We were finally going to be official homeowners of a lovely home that is near my in law’s place.
Owning a home is such a big responsibility and also is a big significant step in a person’s life. I was glad I could give this opportunity for the wifey to experience owning her first home. We signed the documents nearing the end of June and would have to wait for another 6 weeks for the current ex-seller to move out.
Initially, I thought all would go smooth sailing. This was Singapore after all and not bolehland! Little did I know what would be in store for us and also the following lessons I would probably learn for life!
More to come…
