So I recently started taking up the wonderful game of golf. Yes yours truly has finally decided that one of his new year resolutions for 2014 would be to take up golfing. And so far, the experience has been enriching. I have signed up for 10 classes and have already completed 2 with my 3rd one taking place this coming weekend. I gotta say I feel blessed to have good friends who have offered to also lend me their spare clubs to use for practice! The one thing I have started to think as I continue on with my game is that – how come I am only learning about it now? At 30!
You see, golf very much imitates life – how you conduct yourself, how you think on the course or driving range very much mimics how you would do in real life. And that’s the whole beauty of it all – to me I am slowly learning how to be more collected with my thoughts, how to minimize distractions and just focus on the task at hand and also how to not give up and persevere. I am glad that I have managed to sustain my interest so far and I would definitely have more thoughts to write about as I continue down my golfing path as there’s so much to learn and definitely so much to reflect upon.
