Most Canadians will understand what the above phrase means… now in case you aren’t a Canadian, the phrase is simply used when you greet someone you haven’t met in a long long time (at least this was what I was told!). And so now I confidently say to you, with a cheerful spirit and a bright bright smile…. HELLO STRANGER!
Yes I do realize I’ve been on a hiatus (yet once again…unannounced…typical me!) and I have not been updating Uncanny Philosophy as much as I would like to. Oh well can’t really blame me that much as I’ve been really tied up with lots of things. Lets see from the last post on, I believe I mentioned something along the lines of moving into another job pretty soon…well guess what? I got the other job! and I’ll be starting in August. But anyway more on that job stuff some other time.
The Great Transition
The transition at my workplace is almost 80-90% complete. I still do have a couple of things left to see too, I guess nowadays I don’t do much at work, can’t really do much as I need to teach and guide my junior guys to take on more challenging activities which I used to do. I think they’re doing alright…although sometimes I wonder…maybe if I stop being really like a teacher and just throw them into the sea, will they be able to survive? Well they gotta!
Anyway I gotta stop short here…I have to go for my weekly futsal (indoor soccer) game. We meet up every tuesday nights and I don’t know for some reason I really look forward to these games. Maybe it’s because I’m one of the lousiest in the team (yes the folks I play with are really talented…. I mean superbly talented) and it’s good cuz it forces me to keep up with my game as well. You can only get better when you’re in a crowd which is better than you….
Mental note : I hope I get a verbal diarrhea soon… really need to blog more and get into the habit of churning my thoughts into words…
