They are inseparable at times. They crave each other’s affections. One copies what the other leads. They get angry and frustrated when one or the other thwarts or intervenes in their work or play. They cry foul when one, without malice, injures the other. And in just mere minutes, they are reconciled, like best friends, like nothing ever happened. If they are split or aggrieved by the other, it’s only but for a brief moment. A laugh, a smile, a sigh or a playful hug is enough remedy to heal that brief moment of hurt, if it was even a hurt in the first place.
My kids are truly something. Among all the gifts God has given me, my family, my spouse and my kids are truly the greatest gift I could have ever received from the almighty. Their ordinariness illuminates the extraordinary signs in my otherwise daily boring existence. There’s just something special about children. They teach you more than copious volumes of books could ever teach you – and they imprint an indeliable mark in your soul ; a mark that truly has the signature of God in your heart.
