Many months ago I was searching for articles on affirmation. I wanted to learn more on the science of affirmation and specifically why do people not affirm or recognise people in the workplace. In fact studies and scores of surveys have shown that one of the fundamental reasons why people leave the workplace is not so much because of the work itself, but because of the boss or supervisor that they report to. Quite a high price if you ask me – to lose good talented employees in which you have spent ample resources, time and effort to develop only to have them walk out of the door because they can’t work with their managers or supervisors.
My findings on the internet led me to this video and after watching this video, it just hit me how important validation is. It not only benefits you alone, but also those around you. It has a ripple effect which is contagious. Anyway without further ado, here’s this brilliant short movie called…VALIDATED
